Over the last few months I have realised that becoming an apprentice was the best decision I could have ever made for my future. This realisation is only due to the fact of working for a business like hi-impact.

I have been part of this big family for 3 months now and have discovered it is exactly that…. a family. Everyone works together to come up with unconventional solutions to any and all tech problems. There is no such thing as a normal working day here, there is always a new problem that no one has ever seen before. This ensures that there is never a dull moment at work. I look forward to coming to work every day and always learn something new. Since starting here I have been involved with a lot of iPads. I have learnt iPads are capable of a lot of weird and wonderful things that I never thought possible and to do these you don’t even have to be near them. I have also learnt useful life skills like soldering and how to communicate with clients and co-workers. For the first time, I was able to open up a computer and fix hardware problems. This is something I have never been able to do before.

As soon as I joined the company I was made to feel as part of the team by being invited to share in the honour of attending the Merseyside Independent Business Awards which hi-impact have a good reputation of winning awards at. I have also been involved in the Innovation Conference where all the Head teachers and IT co-ordinators come together and are shown all the amazing features that we can introduce and run in their schools.Starting work at hi-impact from a school environment was the easiest transition I have ever made. It was made so simple because of the sense of welcome and collectiveness expressed by everyone at the business. The future is full of opportunities for me and hi-impact to develop and grow and I look forward to pursuing them.
